Inmates often joke that they will be back on the street shortly, just as soon as that presidential pardon comes. For two high profile Federal inmates, the pardon was handed down a couple months ago and today they were released.
What strikes me is that they were in solitary confinement for two years. Can anyone out there confirm this? I can't imagine why they would be kept in solitary confinement for such a long time. If true, I also can't imagine what that must be like. I spent 9 days in the hole and that was more than enough. Friends of mine spent 6 months in the hole and spoke of the experience as if it had been years.
